ECPMI become Autodesk's accredited authorized training center (ATC)

The institute expects to benefit from becoming ATC of Autodesk's in its effort to promote the application of BIM technology in the construction sector

Ethiopian Construction Project Management Institute (ECPMI), has signed a major agreement with Autodesk to be Autodesk's accredited training center (ATC). Last year in October 2019, ECPMI and Autodesk SA signed an agreement of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a partnership and develop collaborative efforts towards the adaptation and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a standard in the design, engineering, and construction industry of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

The MoU among others considers that technological development will take into account the economic situation in the country and all actions taken towards this goal should be presented, advised, and amended by the industry and academic experts before final implementation, with the support and expertise provided from Autodesk.

With that understanding and the vision of ECPMI in utilizing appropriate technologies acquired in the most economical way and disseminating the technologies throughout the industry, it’s a huge step to become an accredited training center (ATC) for the region. And from the agreement, it’s expected ECPMI will benefit from accessing free Autodesk learning software, access to internationally recognized certificates, easy access to up-to-date training materials and manuals, making the institute an assessment center, gaining international experience, and building the capacity of the trainer of Building information modeling (BIM).
